A sketch, with great sadness, for the Je Suis Charlie massacre in paris – an affront to freedom of speech and a sad state of affairs.
Words are hard to come by – to express the anger and the sadness – of today's events in Paris. As a dual citizen, and for those who know me, I am as much French as I am American. And two things that we as French absolutely pride ourselves are 1/ a total and ABSOLUTE separation of state and religion and 2/ Freedom of Speech.
Today's events are on attack on both fronts. And this saddens me beyond compare. As Voltaire said, "I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to death your right to say it".
